Why not give me a chance?

Senior at large, pretty uncompetitive PA school

GPA: about 3.8-3.9ish/4.0 UW, no idea about weighted
Rank: 2/500ish
Courseload: most difficult available, taken every AP of the 7 my school offers and all other classes are honors throughout all 4 years

SAT I: 760CR 660M 730W 2150 total (retaking in Oct. and I assure you I can get a 2200 superscore)

APs: 5 US History, 4 Bio, 3 Chem (taking 4, possibly 5 more tests at the end of this year)

ECs:
--United States Senate page for Sen. Arlen Specter...I'm most proud of this, seeing as I applied and got accepted on my own merits. No Washington connections here.
--internship at the World Aerobic/Hip Hop Championships in Los Angeles for two/three weeks two summers straight. (Hip Hop Championships featured on upcoming NBC reality series World Moves)
--greatly involved in my church for as long as I can remember--literally 1000s of volunteer hours in all sorts of activities and I can get a great rec from my priest

--school golf team (10,11); nothing special here, just something I enjoy

Work experience:

School List:
Duke
Pepperdine
William and Mary
UVA
Rice
Pitt (in state)
Notre Dame
Vandy
Tulane
Fordham

On that list, I'm definitely applying to Duke through Pitt and probably going to add one or two of the last four. If anyone has any other recommendations for schools you'd think I'd have a decent chance at, let me know. I know Duke is reachy for me, but I really love the school and hopes it comes across in my app there!

u have a good shot at all

Needed to save this from the doldrums!

If I think bumping chances threads are annoying, why am I doing it myself??

Maybe I'm more desperate than I thought!!

Duke
Pepperdine
William and Mary
UVA
Rice
Pitt (in state)
Notre Dame
Vandy
Tulane
Fordham

You are good to go at all except maybe Duke and Vandy. You are about a 50-50 at these two. I'm guessing you'll get in at one and rejected/waitlisted at the other. Probably in at Duke and waitlisted at Vandy. (and yes, I know Duke is normally the tougher of the two)

Good luck.

Thank you both!

And is Vandy really that difficult? I expected the most problems to be with Duke (obviously)/Rice/ND there. Out of curiosity, why do you think I'd stand a better chance at Duke than Vandy? I thought my SAT I math was a bit low for Duke, though I'm convinced I can break 700 in Oct.
