<p>We visted GW and AU the other day. I rarely care for information sessions (after a while they all start to sound alike), but we were really impressed. If even half the opportunities they mentioned are available to the average student, then there is a LOT to offer there.
S2 will definitely apply next year. He likes his older brother’s school (Tufts) too, and I think the two schools have a lot in common and much to like: diverse student body, proximity to city (but still the comfort of a residential campus), involved professors, and ease of study abroad. On top of that, the internship opportunities at American sound pretty wonderful. The bad part is that he’s now much less excited about the other schools on his search list. My worry for him with American (aside from admission), is affordability…</p>
