<p>Hi all! We were also at the admitted day in NYC last Saturday. We are not saying “why Pomona” any longer either! My D is going out herself on April 18th, I’m wondering if anyone else is arriving into Ontario when she is so that she can share a ride from the airport. PM me if you are. I think at this point she is between Pomona and Columbia, although she is on a trip to NC right now to visit Duke and UNC. What a whirlwind, we have set April 23rd as D day.</p>

<p>D is currently in Amherst/Northampton visiting Amherst College, Smith College and UMass. When she returns tomorrow (Thursday), we plan on visiting Pomona on Friday, and UCSB on Saturday. Then D goes back to Pomona for the weekend of Apr 16-19… </p>
<p>And then she gets to make the decision just after she comes back from the weekend @ Pomona. I am crossing my fingers she choose Pomona, in my opinion it is the best of the bunch… but unfortunately its not my decision to make… so I guess we’ll see where D goes…</p>
<p>i am duly chastened. we went out last weekend for the pomona admitted students day and i was very impressed. we also went hiking on one of the mt. baldy trails and wow was that breathtaking. Pomona has been great on the financial aid end as well. I think my daughter is leaning there, though it’s a tough call because notre dame and pomona have strong similarities and strong differences between one another. </p>

<p>ayzdad, the dude remark was great, no need to be sorry! Glad you enjoyed Pomona and got to hike Baldy. Sounds like your daughter has a tough but fantastic choice - don’t think she can go wrong at either campus. Good luck to her!</p>
