Princeton, Q.E.D. ;)

Of course in my case that was the reason for NOT going to Princeton, but I am definitely in the minority

Heavy focus on undergrad education

Foremost scholars who are interested in working with undergrads (e.g. Cornel West teaching a freshman seminar, c’mon it doesn’t get any better)

Quintessential beautiful college campus with a cozy, quaint college town

Amazing financial aid

Unique social life (i.e. eating clubs- though I know that doesn’t appeal to everyone)

Extremely rigorous academics

There are obviously so many more…

Rosh, much is in the eyes of the beholder. Youll find passionate supporters for all of the schools discussed on CC, along with some detractors, the latter most often being those who feel particularly competitive and/or defensive about their school choices. You should also understand that most of us cant answer your question with any real authority because we attended (or attend) only one of these schools as an undergraduate. Opinions based on hearsay, short visits or third hand reports from those who did not attend the school are not of much value. Visiting for more than a couple of hours and asking questions of current students and recent graduates are the best ways of forming your own opinions.

Here are my thoughts. In many ways, Princeton is not much different from its peers. At all competitive schools youll find an exciting mix of students from across the country (and even the world) taught by leading scholars in their fields. Youll have access to a large number of extracurricular choices and the possibility of working closely with faculty members. Some differences that do exist are obvious, such as architecture, location and weather. Others are less so.

Thanks PTonGrad2000. I just had an interview with a Princeton Alum, and I must say I was very impressed.

Thanks for the response.
