Why Reed Essay

Can anyone give me any insight into what Reed College looks for in their admittance essay? I know they tend to favor people who are "quirky" smart rather than traditional smart, but do they still look for the same general "beginning middle end" sort of essay as others do? Or does it not matter as long (i.e. can be free form, stream of consciousness, etc.) as its well written.

If you have any other tips on transferring to Reed, I 'd welcome them as well.

Thanks.
