What are reasons to apply to Rensselaer??? I am interested in becoming a physician later in my life. any suggestions?

Well if you want to become a physician, RPI has a 7 year med program with UAlbany, where you can be accepted as a high schooler and if you maintain a certain GPA you're automatically enrolled into UAlbany and don't have to worry about taking the MCAT's or applying.

RPIsoxFan is mostly right, except that the medical program isn't with UAlbany, a state school that doesn't have a medical program, but instead is with Albany Medical College, which is a fairly expensive (but good) private medical school in Albany. On the other hand, it's really competitive, and you better be darn sure that's what you want to do with your life if you're in it.
On the other hand, RPI has a pretty good Biomedical Engineering program-- a lot of pre-med students go that route. Also, there's a little known IT degree at RPI that has a Medicine concentration, it fills literally every premed requirement as part of the major, and gives you a nice IT degree.

Actually, this is the question you have to answer, not us. It's up to you to do a thorough search of colleges, & find the best one that suits your skills, desires, wants, needs, personality, etc, etc. Take the initiative & find the best place for you as a person. It's not something to take lightly.
