I now have to click on log in (which then only takes me to CC home page) even though I never sign out.
I’ve noticed that too. If I exit the page for more than a few minutes, I have to log back in.

Apologies for the issue! This had been an on-an-off problem before this weekend as well. We’re hoping to get input from our tech team on why this is happening again. It seems to impact a subset of the community at a time.
It’s happening to me too…but all I need to do is click on “log in” and I’m right there. At least I don’t have to enter my username and password…which is what was happening prior.
I’m not right there. I am first taken to the CC home page and then have to click on “Parents Cafe” on the home page for instance. I have those forums bookmarked on my computers and before all I had to do was click on the bookmark and I was right there.
This new website continues to disappoint
I have to go to the forum too. But it sure beats typing my username and password over and over and over…everyday!

There is no other message board on the planet where you have to do any of those things!
There are some forums that I go to maybe twice a year and I’m never logged out no matter how long it’s been.
Really? Have you actually confirmed, @Lenitus, that there’s anyone this is NOT happening to at the moment?
Perhaps the subset you’re referring to is the subset who think it’s still worth the bother to report the issue . . . given the lesson we’ve all learned over the past few months about the futility of such reports.

Happens to me almost everytime. All these glitches cause us to click more, and isn’t that really what it is all about?
I think @GA2012MOM hit the nail on the head: the more difficulties we encounter using the site, the more we have to click, and the higher the advertising revenues soar. Doesn’t bode well, does it?
@GA2102MOM @dodgersmom - As a new mod with a fabulous salary (read voluntary), I can only tell you that I now can see some the various issues that are being worked on. I can definitely say that the staff and technical types are making an honest and diligent effort to address all the issues that come up. As with any complicated site on multiple platforms, things happen. It has happened to Amazon, eBay, dozens if not hundreds of other sites.
But to attribute ulterior motives without any evidence is really out of line. As a person that has dealt with online advertising models in “real life”, I can tell you that the ones I dealt with not only measured number of clicks to a page that contained the ad, but also how long the person was on that page and if they actually clicked on the ad. The last two were the only ones that mattered for revenue (payment) from the advertiser in my business. I won’t swear that is the case here and I am not going to ask, because I doubt they would even tell me and they shouldn’t. It isn’t my business. But I highly doubt the motives you attribute to the glitches even apply. The main thing is always to give users a good experience so they do visit more often, stay on longer instead of giving up, tell their friends positive things, etc. I can promise you without even asking that is what the owners of this site are trying to do. That’s good business.
Well, I was quick to complain when this stopped working . . . so I may as well acknowledge that this seems now to be working again. Haven’t been logged off for at least a day or two.

As an old mod who has witnessed the tech team’s ‘honest and diligent effort to address all the issues that come up’, I have one question: how many of the ‘must have’ changes on the Mods Master list have been addressed?

I really can’t stand this new site. Ever since the switch, I have trouble logging in on my android tablet. If I go directly to the site, I can read everything. Once I click log in, it goes to a bad error screen in tiny print. Sometimes I can log in, most times not. With this latest problem of logging everyone out, I can’t get back in at all. I have cleared cookies to no avail. What should I do, other than quit the site?

Logged out as well. Maybe CC needs to hire from within and have some of the brilliant CS kids that are on here fix this site. Couldn’t be any worse than it is and would help them with tuition.
