Why skip "C"?

<p>This years statistics show that the only college with lower admissions rate than Columbia was Harvard. Stanford admissions rate was slightly higher. It takes awhile for acronyms and other cultural memes to catch up with change. Columbia is clearly one of the “hottest” schools out there right now.</p>

<p>More and more people are using “HYPSMBG” (Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, MIT, Bowling Green). Columbia is pretty good, too, just not elite enough in the average person’s eyes to merit a “C” in the abbreviation for the nation’s best schools.</p>
