<p>Sorry for the exclamatory title but that is what is going through my mind right now...</p>
<p>I'm trying to prep for Math 2. Big mistake on my part, having not taken it a year ago when the material was still fresh in my mind. I'm a rising senior and will be going into the third term of a five-term calculus sequence (we have three terms a year) when school starts in a couple of weeks. Math level aside, my point is that it has been long since I have had to tackle ellipses, vectors, asymptotes, logs, even trig formulas etc etc...</p>
<p>I've been doing practice tests with my handy calculator but all my scores have been embarrassingly low. Abysmally low. I have tried reviewing - flipping through prep books, taking notes - but when it comes down to taking the test, I just spend way too long on each problem. I know that indicates lack of practice but I only have so many practice tests to complete! Any tips from other seniors who also took/are taking the SAT Math 2 Subject Test "late"?</p>
<p>Keep in mind that you get get like 5 wrong and get an 800. That is a pretty generous curve. If there is a question that you don’t get or takes too long, skip it and come back if there is time. (I skipped 3 questions on the MathII and got 800)</p>

<p>how about if you mind sharing how you prepped for the math 2 (and got good results obvs…)? i have barron’s with me. take the tests and take them again? copious notes and reading the chapters? </p>
<p>there are certain problems that i am not used to doing (logs, trig laws, quadratic equation/root problems), which take me longer than the average 1 min+ to complete. i take too long to figure out how to do them.</p>
<p>so it’s a combination of “not being able to look at a problem and know what steps i have to take to do them” and a “if i had more time i could finish the problems” type deal.</p>
