I got accepted into Taft for 10th grade. I’ve only visited it once and I loved the campus.
If anyone goes/ has gone to Taft I would appreciate any advice/opinions on Taft

My daughter is a tenth grader at Taft this year. This is her first year there and she boards. It has been a great experience for her. She has been able to make friend easily. The faculty and staff at Taft truly care about the students and are very involved in keeping them happy. She has done well academically and found her focus this year (love of science). She says the food is great and they listen to student input. There is tremendous school spirit, lots of social activities, and strong student bonds. There are restaurants and shops nearby. They frequently walk to Starbucks. She is extremely happy and much to our dismay doesn’t miss being home. If you have any specific questions don’t hesitate to ask.
Hi, thank you for your feedback, I appreciate it greatly.
When I first visited Taft, they made such a good impression on me. They really tried to make me feel welcome, which I really loved. Like your daughter, science is my main passion as well. What does she say about the science department? And also, has she ever talked about the “work-load” (Homework/studying)? I just want to make sure there’s enough time to get my work done and still be able to socialize and make friends. My high school right now (Public high-school) has been a breeze for me, barely having to work past 1 hour a day (unless I have a test). Will I be able to manage the rigorous schooling? Even though I said I barely have to work past 1 hour a day, I’m a strong student who studies very-very hard, so it’s not like I’m a bum.
