Why are the reviews so bad? Are what these people say true? or did they just have bad luck

asterisk asterisk asterisk is such a fantastic website.

you're gonna have to find a way to circumvent the words that are blocked... on that thought it prolly doesn't belong here anyway.

It's students review, or something like that (not sure which words get pluraralized, you can just google "/MI/UMAA_g.html" and it'll come up).

This is a self-selective survey, which by it's nature attracts extreme opinions, and it has an extremely small sample size of 16. I wouldn't take it too seriously.

Besides, most of those are probably written by Spartans and Buckeyes! hehe!

Because a lot of people (not all, don't get me wrong) go in thinking that it's a better school than it is. It is a good school, but not what it used to be. Unfortunately I know many people who transferred out after their freshman year because they hated it so much and it is generally people like that that leave comments on sites like that. Students generally love or hate UMich and it is those that hate it that tend to leave the comments "warning" others.

Most of what they say is true, but keep in mind (both the good and bad comments) that it is from their personal perspective. Take nothing on there for gold.

Disclaimer: I am probably going to MSU, but have been a lifelong Wolverines fan. Lol :)

romanigypseyes, Michigan is much better than it used to be. 15 years agio, when I was there, it was arguably one of the top 10 universities in the US. Today, it is clearly one of the top 10 and is solidifying its status with every passing year.

I know a couple of schools that are listed on that site pretty well, and comments for schools are pretty much uniform. That is, for every school, you have positive and negative comments, and the positive and negative comments tend to be very similar across the different schools. Michigan has a 96% freshman retention rate, there are not many schools with better retention rate, but if all 4% of those in any given year posted on that site, it'd be more than the number of negative comments on that site right now.

If you check out the other schools in the top 25, you'll find just as many negative comments.

With more undergraduate students than another other top 25 (26) school, you are bound to get more negative feedback.

You might notice that Harvard only gets a B- for education quality...

Well reviews are never bad if they don cover any spam words and doesn't carry any abusive word and doesn't abuse others.
Thank you
