Does anyone have the exact wording to this supplement essay question?

2011-2012 Prompt: “How does the University of Chicago, as you know it now, satisfy your
desire for a particular kind of learning, community and future? Please address with some specifity your own wishes and how they relate to U Chicago.”

Thanks alot sir

De nada, best of luck!

Do you think it’s going to change at all? I’m worried that slight wording change may affect my essay if I write it now.

It’s not very likely that the wording will change in a way that will affect a general “Why UChicago?” response. I’d be more worried about how sincere you think your answer to that question might be, given your location.

So what you’re saying is that you’re judging me based on a “location” that means essentially nothing. Had it said “UChicago Please?”, then everything would be alright?

When you have 5 or 6 top schools listed and none of them are UChicago, how badly you want to come here and how well you would fit in become valid questions. There’s nothing inherently good or bad about this, though you’re right that it doesn’t mean much anyway.

This question has been worded like that for the past few years… I’m pretty sure they won’t change it. They want to know the same thing, why you want to go, so it wouldn’t make too much sense if they change it.
