"Why University of Chicago?" Question.

As I'm concluding my essay for RD, I came accross a dilema. I wrote why I truly wanted to to go to the University of Chicago, but I've referenced some specific things about UofC. For instance, when I discussed peer tutoring and support, I referenced two specific programs offered in the University of Chicago. Do you think that getting into to much detail should be avoided? Should I stay on the general side or detailed side?

Any comments would help. Thank You in advanced.

Are you kidding? Details are key.

No, like I understand what you’re saying. I want to know would it be too much to list specific things such as the Office of Multicultural Affairs and etc.? I don’t want to overdo it, or make it seem like I’m simply taking things from the site and just placing them into my essay. It’s very detailed – to detailed I’m concerned. Like I get into specific core classes, specific support programs and etc.

Don’t you think that the admissions would be happy that you took the time to actually look into the school and find specific things about it that you like? I really don’t see where that would be detrimental to you at all. If anything, I would think it would be a good thing…

True, that’s what my friend was telling me yesterday. Thanks guys, you’re all awesome =]
