If you tell people that they shouldn't vote, then LOT of people will not vote. In certain states which like particular party it's bad for those particular parties.

No, I don't litter. One piece of paper does actually make a bigger difference than you think when you live in a city where clean streets are the norm and not the exception. In some cities, take downtown Detroit for instance, it is so dilapidated that the marginal cost to the city of you ignorantly littering is actually very little since there is already so much garbage in that city. This isn't to say you should litter in Detroit, it just doesn't make a big difference if you do. Compare that to a city like Toronto, a city with amazingly clean streets. Littering in a city like Toronto, because there, isn't much garbage on the street to begin with (even in the "bad" areas) has a much higher marginal cost.

Finally, I feel that I may have mistitled my post. My intent was not to prove that voting is worthless - hell, I vote, it was to show that voting in non-tight races doesn't affect the overall outcome all that much and is NOT enough if you actually want substanial change.

I'm going to vote, and I think it will make a HUGE difference.
