Giuliani did so much for NYC, especially around 9/11. It's a no-brainer for me. He's the best man for the job IMO, but will probably not get the nomination since he'll never get the southern vote stronghold that the Republicans rely on every election.

Obama is articulate and has some interesting ideas, but he is inexperienced.

I don't like Hillary Clinton.

I like Edwards and I will probably vote for him if Giuliani doesn't get the nomination.

McCain is too conservative.

I don't know enough about Romney or Richardson to vote for them.

Gary Coleman could be a darkhorse. I heard McCain might pick him as his running mate to get the short-minority vote :).

Gary Coleman 1 (I don't think he's running)

Obama because he is black and smokes and symbolizes a new direction for America. I like Edwards, but I also like low taxes and he's too much of a populist. I don't like Hillary. McCain is fine by me, Giuliani has no real national experience, who is Richardson? and Romney has no shot of getting past the primaries as a Mormon from Mass.

It seems like Obama is really popular with the young voting population. I wish some of you could have lived in NYC and seen what a fantastic mayor Rudy Giuliani was. He's America's mayor for a reason and he has my vote. As for "national" experience, how about international? Giuliani has spoken before the UN for goodness sakes! He also led NYC through 9/11 better than anyone else could have. I know I sound like his campaign manager, but I really think we should give Rudy a chance.

I like Rudy. What he did after 9/11, noone else could have done. He was a great mayor. However, if you are going to talk about Obama having very little experience, remember, Rudy was a mayor. He wasnt the govenor of a big state like Bush, Carter, Reagan, or Clinton. He was the mayor of one city, so he lacks experience dealing with different areas. Also, how is he going to win the south with an Italian name and being from NYC? It's very up hill for him, but he is in a better position than many candidates.

"Also, how is he going to win the south with an Italian name and being from NYC?"

I addressed this issue with him in my earlier post. Here’s what I said:

"He's the best man for the job IMO, but will probably not get the nomination since he'll never get the southern vote stronghold that the Republicans rely on every election."

Giuliani had to deal with a lot as mayor of NYC. It was a real hell-hole before he came around. He came through through, cutting down on crime and advocating self-help. NYC is the safest big city in the U.S. now because of him. He even got a batterted city through the most tragic event in out nation's history. I think that he would do good things for our coutry if we give him a chance.

IMO, Giuliani is more experienced and qualified than Obama. Sure, he never held a "national" office, but he had to deal with the great national crisis of 9/11 and he did so brillantly. Obama is an interesting candidate and I think he is intelligent. However, he is the junior senator from Illinois who I think needs to "cut his teeth" a bit before exploring the presidency. He hasn't shown me yet the leadership skills yet that I have seen in Giuliani.

"He wasnt the govenor of a big state like Bush, Carter, Reagan, or Clinton. He was the mayor of one city, so he lacks experience dealing with different areas."

Being the mayor of NYC is arguably one of the more high-profile jobs out there. You are responsible for over 8 million people, which is more people than many states have. Many New Yorkers realize that the mayor of NYC is in many ways, more powerful than the governor of New York.

I'd still vote for him over Hillary

If by "him" you mean Obama, then yes. I would pick him over Hillary but not over Giuliani. I don't like Hillary Clinton, even though she is my states's senator. She is just another talking-head politician IMO and I don't think that's what we need.
