Why was my test different from everyone else's?

It's good to see that other people had this same situation, at least... I thought maybe my school messed up; it wouldn't be the first time for that.

I wonder how they would allot for differences in difficulty, though? I swear, my math was harder than any ACT, SAT, practice test etc. I've ever taken.

this is sucky..i thought this was one of those tests that i ddidnt get a perfect in any section but i didnt bomb any either so like a 32 33ish in each

I got a 34 in June but I didn't take the writing, so I had to take the ACT again, which I hoped to never do.. I was aiming for a 35, but I think I more than likely had a 33-34. Math killed me, or I might've had a shot at 36. Here's to retaking in June when things go badly..

wow a 34 is so good! hah im probably the only one who got my test form :(!

I wish I could've just kept the 34, lol. I'd be done with all this crap by now.

Ah, well. SAT next week and if that goes well I won't even send my ACT anywhere.

good luck!..they better give us a nice curve for putting us through this misery =]

Thanks!

And yeah, I really hope so.. I've got it all riding on how good the curve is, lol. Let me just say for the 50th time, my math section was freakin hard!

would you happen to know which of the following could NOT be used to interect a plane and a cone in 3D...that was one of my math questions

one point, two points, parabola, circle, ellipse

I don't know for sure... math isn't really my strong suit, buuuut I would guess "one point"

I had another thought... did everyone's test have "Student Review Questions" at the bottom? Mine did, but I don't remember having them on my June test. If ours were the only ones to have these questions, that might support the idea that we got (stuck with) an experimental test.

Student Review Q's? Anyone?

i guessed one point too....student review questions? i dont remember seeing that. where was that on yours?

It was at the bottom of the answer sheet. Our proctor asked us to fill them in after we finished the multiple choice test. There were questions like "Were you seated at least 3 feet away from the nearest test taker" or "Were you assigned a seat at the test center" or "Did you bring a calculator with you to the test" and it said like, your answers help the ACT people with such-and-such.

That led me to believe my test center was being like experimental?

oh yeah EVERYONE has those..i didnt have them in june but in april i did..its like a rule or something but yeah everyone in my room had to fill those in and some people in my room have had the same questions as other people posting here..blah i guess i will just have to wait for nov.12

I had the student response questions.

I'm just so frustrated, as to why they had to pick my school to give the strange, difficult tests to. Bahgh.

I had a different test to. Mine was purple blue. I don't have any of the same questions the people on CC have. I'm from Ohio. Maybe it has something to do with that?

I'm also from Ohio, so maybe?

I had a purplish blue test as well, did you happen to have a reading about flying tree snakes and environmentally friendly businesses? :p

Not sure if everyone at my test center had different tests but i have had a different test than anyone on cc, it is kind of odd.

I had no law of cosines on my math test

On my reading I had
-one related Hawaii
-one on Apes and Chimps
-one on transportation
-i forgot the last one

BTW i am also from ohio but mine was like orangish
