Why was my writing so low?

So I got 44 correct and 5 incorrect

9/12 essay

I got a 680

on the may 2nd SAT

shouldn't this be like a 720-760?

anyways... im pretty annoyed about this because i have a friend that got 40 correct and 9 incorrect with a 9/12 on the essay and got a 670...

Did you and your friend take the test on the same date?

I received an uncharacteristically low score as well.

I answered a total of three written problems incorrectly and got an eleven out of twelve on my essay, but I still only made a 740.

It is incredibly disappointing, and I don’t really understand how the scoring/curve can be so horrible.

Well I got 2 wrong and 10/12 and got 770.

Just for comparison

1 Wrong, 11/12= 800

Sucks for you guys haha

hmm looking at the above two scores I’m somewhat curious why getting 2 wrong and an 11/12 on the essay got me a 770

I got 3 wrong 9/12 essay 700, so dont worry the curve was bad for everyone. I don’t think it was warranted for the curve to be this harsh though :frowning: would’ve got 740 on a another date with the same performance

well, I also took the sat in may… 0 wrong, 9/12 and 790…
Your score does seem very harsh; however, i read that the multiple choice questions were easier than normal so i guess they penalised you for that…
I myself got two wrong in math, and a 760…
