In 8th grade, I took Alg 1 and passed easily with a 99. I enjoyed it very much too. In 9th grade, I took Honors Geometry. My teacher was the worst teacher I have ever had. We did not learn anything. She let us do whatever we wanted, and we never took a final. Some days she said she did not want to teacher. so then we just sat there all class. In my school, you are not allowed to have your phone in class. In geometry, we were allowed to play with our phones and basically do whatever we wanted(run around, cuss, play games, pants people, etc) and the teacher didnt do anything about it. This teacher hated me very much for no real reason. I done everything in her class that everyone else done. Anyway, whenever she would teach, she would read from a powerpoint and didnt understand Geometry. I passed with a 98 overall, which I consider to be very good. I dont understand why I got put into regular Alg 2 whenever I signed up for Honors, and I got a high A in the past to math classes I had. Does anybody have some incite?
This is something you need to discuss with your counselor- write them an email.
I would call/email your counselor. This might have been a mistake. If you received such high scores in Algebra 1 and Honors Geometry, then I’m sure you weren’t put into regular Algebra 2 on purpose.
