I have taken countless amounts of practice tests yet my science score never goes up.
People say to take practice tests and review your answers but that never helps me. I have a 32 composite with a 28 in science

They say to analyze why you got a question wrong but I never know why. I just get it wrong.

Lets get a list here of why people get questions wrong from careless to anything since it will help everyone improve their scores.

Lack of time

Carelessness/misreading graphs and other information

“Challenge” questions toward end of each section that stump you for far too long (not only enabling you to get that question wrong but also to hinder your test-taking speed).

Strange, uncommonly tested topics in test booklets that somehow show up on the real exam to throw your understanding off

Similar to the last one, but… a strangely tough first passage, slowing down your speed and lowering your confidence throughout the remainder of the test

RAGE from doing poorly in any section prior to the science test

I think that about covers it. Lol. Seriously, I agree with you, actsat2400, I know the basic strategies to skip right to the questions and stuff but I still struggle with breaking that 27-29ish barrier in science. Except for one rare test in which I scored a 35, but you know, luck.

same, i really dont know why, i get some wrong, i go back and look at it and its like why didnt i get this right the first time. Hopefullly i get lucky on the real one and get a 35

Continue posting everyone!

-going to fast and making silly mistakes tends to be a big one

Do you agree, luck will play a big part in Science section on real test day? Here is how. Let’s say provided you get the easy ones right, which everyone else would get right. Then if you are able to correctly guess just few, you can be easily in 31-33 range since the curve is so steep.
Difference in 27 and 32 is just 4-5 questions. Is this assumption correct?
