Why would Collegeboard call home?

I hope this is in the correct forum. o_o

So, someone from Collegeboard called home yesterday requesting to speak to my parents. I said that I could take the message, since my parents don't understand English well. Instead, they said they'd call back next week with a translator, and hung up.

I didn't cheat (otherwise the proctor would've said something, right?).
I did get Commended on the PSAT, but I don't think Collegeboard would call home about it.
My only other guess is that there were cheating speculations in the room, except I didn't know anyone else in the room.

This is my first official SAT test.

All I can do is wait for the call, but all of this is making me anxious. On top of that, I won't be home until 6pm all week next week. X)

What are the possible reasons for Collegeboard to call, but only to speak to my parents?

And did anyone else get a call? :O

CB generally does contacts concerning tests in writing and does not, as far as I know, call parents. It is a possibility it is CB, maybe just for some kind of survey in general, but you may have an issue of someone misrepresenting who they are.

I think you should be very careful about scammers. We got calls from very slick, very expensive, very disreputable outfits.

If you think it was really the CollegeBoard, you should contact them and find out what they want.

Your guidance counselor could call on your behalf.

They haven’t called back, but I’ll be sure to be on the lookout in case it’s a scam. Thanks.

It’s just telemarketers trying to sell something. Don’t worry about it.
