I’ve seen a lot of “Why X Essays” and I noticed two general formats for the essay. One starts of with a really personal connection/anecdote and kind of naturally flows into aspects of the college. The other basically lists things you like about the college, dropping bits of personality throughout. Obviously, these are not all encompassing and the structures within these two groups vary slightly. Users of both essays get into good colleges, and I tend to use the latter. Is there any style that’s better? I mean, the former structure of essays certainly sound a bit more unique.
Well I used a mixture of both. I listed down stuff about the college that I liked and HOW that related me to personally.
It also depends on the word count, if its 150-200 words, I would not recommend going too deep in because the colleges just wanna probably see that you are interested in them.
