why you should go to class

i take a midterm in geography, feel as if i failed and didnt attend class next week or two, get the midterm back, it says 28/50, i decide to drop this elective non major course.

Today, i come to find out my 28/50 was a dam c+/b-

BLAHHHHHHHHHHHH~!

this sucks, i was taking that class p/np too . i could have totally passed! blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah

that really sucks. ive been pushing myself to go to class lately but sometimes i jsut cant wait up for it lol.

The lesson?

The curve totally matters.

unless of course there's absolutely no curve...

This is true.

Lecture is 10x more important than the book.

^ that depends on the class and where the teacher tests from.

I have had lots of classes where coming to lecture was useless if you understood the book.

Yes, but is it easier to understand 3 hours of lecture or pore through the book yourself?

Still depends on the class and professor. The professor can be a horrible lecturer.

Yeah, I've had professors who actually make the material more confusing. That being said, if you're not going to attend lecture at least make friends with someone who does. You wouldn't want to miss an important announcement just because you ditched.
