<p>I was accepted to University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Then just a few mins ago I was deferred to UIC. I dont get it, If the main Illinois thinks that im qualified for their school, why doesn't the lesser one think so. Not that I am going to UIC, Im just confused and a little bit insulted.</p>
<p>If you applied for the same major it probably just depends on the particular conselors who were reading your info</p>
<p>It also varies on the number of applications they receive, and the number of students they wish to admit any given year. Or, it could be something as simple as the counselors didn’t like your essay at UIC.</p>
<p>University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is better anyway</p>
<p>I’ve seen people get accepted at Northwestern and stuff and get deferred from colleges like UIC :P</p>
