Wierd number on my e-mail?

<p>I really hope this isn’t a stupid question, but I got this general email from AU Advisor, and it was talking about senioritis and not slacking off the second semester of high school because colleges could choose to withdraw the admission. I thought, okay they send stuff like this all the time, but then I read the bottom and it said “your AU ID number is …” </p>

<p>What’s that number for? I know my number for the student portal is something different, and I haven’t recieved anything else in the mail or emails with numbers like this.
Haha I know this is a wierd question but I just want to make sure I didn’t miss anything with the application :P</p>

<p>No they assign you a student ID number and your portal number uses part of that number. The initial AU email you are assigned uses part of the number as well but you can change it to your name.

<p>S received the same mail a few days ago. The student id was assigned when the application was submitted and has shown up on the application status website since day one.</p>
