I heard that was a large gay scene at UPenn and in the Philadelphia area. Is this true?
(Sorry for sounding ignorant, just a question on my mind after reading a lot about Philly.)

EYE havent heard anything about that.

NYU, perhaps, lol

Why, scared?? lol

Penn does have a good LGBT community. There is the Gayborhood in Philadelphia, but other things on campus like Queer Student Alliance, GFAC, etc. The fact that there is such a vibrant mixture different demographics is one of the things that makes Penn great.

I totally agree. One of the things I love about Penn is it's open-minded environment.

Philly is a very gay friendly city. Check out http://www.phillypride.org/. And Penn has one of the biggest LGBT centers in the country.

oh! now that u mention it, a couple friends of mine started a GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) at my school, and now a group from some church in Kansas is organising a protest at my school for 19 December. Visit their website, hatemongers.com (no joke). Some people, i tell ya.....
