What would happen if you appeal a rejection at a university that does not allow you to appeal rejections?
Just curious.

Your appeal would be rejected…?
You just finished your freshman year of HS. There are so many better things you can do with your time (that would better prepare you for college) than creating crazy hypothetical questions for 3 years in the future. Read a book, get a job, do something constructive.
But for the record, unless there was a clerical error, you would be wasting your time appealing a rejection – especially from a school that does not allow you to appeal.
I didn’t really mean admissions-wise. I mostly meant as in if your school would get blacklisted or something. I’m not spending time making up these questions. Sometimes questions pop into my head that I want to know the answers for.
The admissions office would ignore your appeal.
Depending on who read it and how irritated they were by the fact that you couldn’t/wouldn’t/didn’t follow their “rule” about appeals, they might get in touch with a GC at your school. And that could affect your relationship with the GC in a negative way. Btw, you need a recommendation from your GC for college apps so getting on their bad side is not a good idea.
@futurecollege00 - question for you. Why would you appeal something that the school states is not appealable? Do you think they will make an exception for you? Is there something that suggests this would be a good thing to do?
No, I don’t think they would make an exception for me. It was just a random question; what’s the harm in asking?
You are absolutely 100% free to ask whatever you want.
The “harm” might be that if regular posters get a steady diet of random, uninformed questions from you then by the time (junior year) when you have enough academic stats (GPA, standardized test scores), financial information, etc. to ask more meaningful questions that people will not bother to look at your posts any longer. There are some posters I have put on my “ignore” list so I don’t see future posts. And note that it is against the teams of service to open up a second CC account.
MODERATOR’S NOTE: We actually don’t allow hypothetical questions as a rule (because we don’t want to waste users’ time), so I am closing this thread.
