I was going to get my recommendation written by my Arabic teacher. He likes me and I'm sure would write a very good recommendation. The only thing that worries me is that his English isn't all that great. Should I still get him to write me one? Even if he may not be able to articulate himself as well as a professor who may not know me as well?

It’s hard to decide unless we can see the letter. I would tend to be wary given that his troubles in English may make the recommendation seem lukewarm.

i felt the same way (with my french teacher so a lesser extent)
i chose to ask him anyways because he knows me well and it will say he teaches french and his last name is obviously french
does the form say he taught you in arabic, does he have a distinct last name?
colleges will surely understand.
