Just a quick question, how is the wifi at Cornell?

It worked fine for me when I was there…apparently they’ve been updating the whole wi-fi system to make it faster and more reliable.

yes…depending on where you are on campus…i’ve gotten 1MB/s torrent speeds…

not every spot on campus has wifi though…i.e. you wont be able to use your laptop on the tcat buses…

@ ResurgamBell: how have you been able to use torrents on campus without being caught?

Yeah, could uTorrent + PeerGuardian work? And how do you manage the download cap or whatever?

omg! I used torrent a lot over the spring break and then got a notification from CIT telling me that my computer has been hijacked lol…

Sprint card ftw. You can torrent, do whatever the hell you want. Anywhere.

Wifi is in all the libraries! And in a lot of buildings, too.

if there is wifi, why do they have resnet…a wifi service you pay for?

i try not to download files that are protected by MPAA or RIAA…especially if they just came out…

for example i will not go and download FAST AND THE FURIOUS b/c it just came out nor will i download the latest TV EPISODE for the same reason…

i download stuff that is not being shared on dc++ such as old collection of DARIA episodes and other legendary stuff like that…

the popular stuff should be on the dc++ already

ResNet is the ethernet port in your dorm room. Dorms don’t all have wireless.
