Wildcat Day question

Hey guys,

My parents are flying me out to Chicago from SLC to go to one of the Wildcat Days. They aren’t able to make it. Is this an event I can attend by myself or is it expected that parents come too?

Thanks

You can go alone. In fact, I was glad to be there without my mom when I went last year.

Just came back from Wildcat Day and many kids were without parents. I suggest making sure you try to go to a class.

Good to know, thanks. Did most people have their parents with them? Looks like mine might actually be able to make it.

@Cubbybear idk cuz i was only socializing with people who didn’t have their parents by their side. Their parents might’ve just not been present at those moments. Whenever I saw parents with their kids, the kid was just tagging along with the parent, rather than socializing with other prospective students, current students, professors etc.

My D attended it mostly on her own (we live nearby) and I dropped in for just one seminar. Try to spend some of the day on your own so you can hear your own thoughts/vibe without distraction from others’ input. This should help you get a better feel for NU.
