Hello, i am planning to become a wildlife biologist, which majors and which colleges are the BEST(only a sophomore, i do very well academically but have not taken ACT or SAT yet). thanks for any help

The obvious major would be wildlife biology/wildlife management. Next best would be zoology or ecology & evolution, though these majors probably wouldn’t emphasize the applied aspects you’d find in a wildlife biology major. Usually, wildlife biology majors are offered only at landgrant public universities that have colleges of agriculture or natural resources. The best bet as far as cost probably would be your home state’s landgrant university.

what about private schools?

What is your home state?

In New York there’s SUNY ESF (Environmental Science and Forestry), which is on Syracuse’s campus.

my home state is montana, and i know UM has an good program, but i really want to challenge myself

if i wanted to do research in mammals, especially predators, is there a ‘best’ for that?

List of schools with “Wildlife Biology” and “Wildlife,Fish, and Wildlands Science and Management” majors…
