Will 1 AP Make a difference?

I'm going on senior year with 5 AP's.

Stats, Calc BC, Physics, Lit, and Micro/Econ.

The summer work load is huge, and I don't think I can finish the lit work. We have to read/analyze 3 books, I got the short one done. The next two are: a 500 page book and a 300 page book (poisonwood bible and the violent bear it away).

I just feel like I can't finish these by August 13th. I also have to read a 200+ page book for micro/econ and 30 calculus problems. (easy)

So I was thinking about dropping into regular english. Thoughts? Should I just devote the rest of my summer for the lit work? (I'm a very slow reader..)

And will dropping the AP Lit make a big difference on my transcript? (for UCs)

No, drop it
4 AP’s are still ridiculuous

i think you’ve tricked yourself into believing you have to read the books… use sparknotes man

Why’d you sign up for the class if you knew it’d be like that?

If you don’t think you can finish, you can always drop the class but still take the AP test. Colleges aren’t going to say “OOHH, you only have 4 APs instead of 5! Rejected!”

You don’t know what the summer hw is until the end of the school year (after you’ve signed up).

bump 10char

Well, from what you’ve told us, you sound like you already know you can’t handle the workload and keep up your grades at the same time. I’d say drop it.

It is senior year after all. You need to factor in the inevitable.
