Hi.
Im a junior now but last year sophmore year I had 7 B's total (4 first semester, 3 second semester)
4 of them were weighted classes.
Will this hurt my chances at UC schools and Cal Poly SLO?
I'm asian..
I have good extracurriculars and letters of rec.

For UC’s read, very carefully, the Pathways to admission. For those schools, your gpa will be most important. You can leverage gpa by doing well in weighted classes. Then test scores. Then EC’s. You can try to build your gpa by doing summer or advanced courses at college. Take as hard a schedule with weighted classes as you can handle next year.

I had 10 Bs total and got into Berkeley and LA this year . Just show passion in your essays + have good extracurriculars. Good test scores help too.

Oh and I’m Asian :D

If you come back with a bunch of As your junior and first half of senior year, you should be competitive enough

They will get, but it doesn’t mean you don’t have a chance. That is a lot, but try to focus on picking your self up from now on.

Obviously… That being said, you can make up with other parts of your app
