Will 720/740/800 sat2 scores hurt me?

<p>i am a Junior right now, and I got 720 in World History, 740 in chemistry, and 800 in U.S history.</p>

<p>My friends say that anything below 750 can hurt my chance of getting in to IVYs.
Should I consider taking one more SAT subject test to replace either 720 or 740 ?</p>

<p>I am already preparing for SAT 1 and college essays during this summer so taking one more SAT subject test is kind of pressure.. </p>

<p>I am not sure how much SAT2 subjects affect the admission so I need some help..
I already know that 720/740/800 will not boost my chance, but will they hurt me for IVYs?</p>

<p>The 800 is great. I wouldn’t worry about a 720 or 740, anything above 700 shows competence. SAT IIs are not used strongly in the admissions process (and you can choose to only send your two highest to the majority of colleges). Essentially, while a 720 or 740 isn’t great, retaking a score like that is obsessive and would be a waste of time and money. Congrats on the scores!</p>
