can a 1150 get me into the engineering program... should i retake the sats and aim for 700 on the math...last time i got a 600.

Just posted on your “College Admissions thread.”

Unsure
of your chances… try to look at older posts on here to see if you can get an idea.

No. I attended the SUNY Buffalo engineering day last weekend and the head of the admissions, i believe it was, said that a CR/M SAT less than 1160 means you are automatically rejected. You must retake to score higher if you want to attend SUNY Buffalo for engineering.

10pts makes that much of a difference? i applied ed and i am a first gen…i also got 780 on a spanish subject test…will this help me out at all?

Couldn’t you just transfer into engineering after a year?

I would bet that you’d get in. I got accepted to the engineering program two years ago with 590 Math / 580 Writing and 90.6 GPA.

Yes it will. I just got accepted into Electrical Engineering at UB. I have a 1150 with a 92GPA

Weird, maybe it was for a different program that minimum score was for.
