I understand that a 4 is great compared to the national average but the competition these days is so tough. I'm worried because I don't feel so confident about the apush test that i took this may. I am almost certain that I got 5s on bio and physics b but I am applying for economics/international relations, so I am assuming I should be good at history...

please help me on this one.. I may seem naive about stressing over one 4 but I really don't know that much about the admission process with respect to standardized test scores.

i'm sooo sorry.. i'm just REALLY stressing out here.. i hope i don't sound too under-confident!! I apologize. I should be proud of my achievements. Thanks for the encouragement :)

Don't worry about it. I stressed just like you about every imperfection in my resume. My junior year, I took four APs and got three 5s and one 4. That 4 didn't kill me that much. I still got into Brandeis, Northwestern, Johns Hopkins, Cornell, and I'm going to UPenn.

So, don't worry about one possible 4.

BTW, I'm white so I got no URM points in the admissions process if you were wondering.

definitely not. APs are kind of like extra standardized tests that you can show off in your app, and 4s and 5s are great on them. it works the other way, actually: if you didn't get an A in something, but got a 5 in the subject area AP, then colleges notice and like that. but getting a 4 will do nothing negative for you application.
you said that you're applying to UK schools too. they consider APs very differently (if you're applying to oxbridge, they add up your AP scores-- you can see the minimum composite scores on the official websites), although they also care about SATs and SAT IIs (as do all the english schools, much more so than grades, actually). I still don't think the 4 will hurt you.
