Will a 760 Math II make up for a 700 Math I?

SAT I
M: 700
CR: 800
W: 800

SAT II
Math II: 760
US Hist: 770

AP Calc BC: 5

Additional info: I'm applying to Dartmouth ED.
WGPA: 4.47. Strong extracurriculars & essays; very strong recommendations. Parent 1 never attended college; Parent 2 had "some college."
1/2 White, 1/2 Asian.

Thanks so much! =)

If you take an exam twice, the college will look at the highest of the two scores.

I think that the 760 in Math 2 should overshadow your 700 on the math subscore of the SAT I, but it could be beneficial to boost that (SAT I) math score up more.

Yes it will, particularly with the Calc AP score. And since you are applying ED, the question is nearly moot anyway. However, you might consider signing up for the Dec SAT should you get deferred/denied at Dartmouth. Since colleges superscore, you only have one way to go-- UP!

No need to retake anything, you have a very good shot currently. (a 2300 alone is impressive and a 2360 w/ sat ii math is amazing. )

Thanks for all the input! =) I think I’ll just leave my SAT I’s and focus on essays.

Yeah, do not retake the SAT I.
