Will a B- Alg. II / Trig. Honors Freshman Year affect my college admission?

So I've survived midterms and managed to pull off a 3.8 GPA, all 95% A's for all my classes EXCEPT Algebra II / Trigonometry Honors. I only pulled a B- 82% in that class. Now before anyone starts bashing me with "it's your first year in high school, first semester, and you're freaking out over a B" stuff, you have to understand where I'm coming from.

I go to Diamond Bar High School, which has a 10 API score rating and much more stuff I don't care to mention. Basically, it's very competitive, very.

So in more or less words, should I be okay as long as I boost that grade up to a B+ / A- the next semester?

If you mean by competitive that its hard and people drop a B here and there, then you’re fine. If you’re running behind a pack of 4.0-er’s, then that could be a bit of different scenario. Either way, the effects will be minimal to none.
