Will a B+ in Freshmen year affect my chances for college?

I'm currently a freshmen (South Korean girl) at a highly competitive international school, and I'm sort of worried about my chances for getting into a good college. The take on gpa around here is that it is of the utmost importance, and that being consistently on top in all four years counts for a lot more even than improving greatly over four years.

I've always been a straight A student, but this year I messed up on some of my algebra tests and I might be looking at a B+ for my second semester. Even if I ace my final, which I'm pretty sure I didn't, I'm looking at an A- for the year. Did I just totally mess up my chances into getting into an Ivy (equivalent) college? Here are my Sem2 grades, year grades are in ()

World History: 100 (97)
General Literature: 96 (96)
Geometry: 97 (96)
Communications: 98 (97)
Integrated Science: 98 (96)
PE: 96 (96)
Chinese 2: 95 (95)
Algebra 2: 89 or 90, final grades haven't been uploaded yet (92)

I'm planning on taking the most rigorous courses possible in my sophomore-senior years, including AP Calc AB. If I do well in those classes, will it make up for that B in Al2? I'm really disappointed with myself because I know I could have done better (I got that grade because I slacked off in Quarter 3). I don't want to major in anything Math related, I'm more of a history/english person, but I'm still worried.

Assuming I get excellent SAT/SAT II scores, continue to move up the ladder and be on the executive board for all the clubs I'm in (MUN, Green Club, Global Issues Network, Habitat for Humanity) and in time join a sport at school (I want to join tennis but I'm not good enough for the school team yet), do I still have a chance? I know I'm already at a disadvantage because I'm Asian and there are SO many other high-achieving 5.0GPA Asian students applying for colleges in the States. I just want to know whether or not I've ruined my chances with that B in Al2.

(sorry, I know how much you guys hate chancing people xD. I'm sort of stressed here, that's all).

It is too early for a prediction. One year does nt determine college admisions.

It will NOT matter. You are way too stressed. Calm down, slow down, smell the roses, enjoy your life. Straight As, perfect scores and leadership roles are NOT necessary for even the most selective schools. No school wants a zombie. I would pick a sport other than tennis unless you love it b/c it plays into the stereotype. Pick a sport you like - swimming, jazz dance, frisbee, bowling. You don’t need to be a leader in 4 clubs either.

You’re kidding right? Why don’t you do what YOU enjoy and stop worrying about “what looks good to colleges”.
