<p>I feel like I come from a similar background - Asian female (not really a minority, either) from a top performing, wealthy HS. Similar SAT scores. </p>
<p>From my point of view, you’ve got a good shot at HSS. The way I’m seeing your application: you’re a capable student. You’ve got good extracurriculars. Just tie it in all together and convince them that you as a person really shine in spite of your GPA AND have the ability to do exceedingly well.</p>
<p>I got in with a 3.2 GPA. Probably what got me in was a serious devotion to my ECs. I really only had a few main ones and that was it (not even any side ECs), but I really took them pretty far. However, IMO what seriously clinched it was my supplementary essay - why I wanted to major in CS and Logic. </p>
<p>Misc note: I applied RD. I have no idea what kind of effect this has on my application. Also, my advice may just be completely off the mark/I was an exception/this won’t happen to you but I just prefer to see things in a positive light ;D</p>
