Of course it will impact your application! Everything you do will. But look at it this way. Not every admitted student admitted to a top 50 school has a 4.0 GPA. In fact, some 4.0s get rejected. So what if you got a C. If that was the absolute best you could do, move on and try to do better. If it wasn’t, then try and learn from your mistakes. Not everyone is perfect and colleges realize this. If you’re applying straight out of high school, you really should include your college transcript else whoever accepts you might find out and rescinds admission for academic dishonesty.
Take away: Don’t let it bug you too much unless you didn’t try your best. It’s done and over with now. Just move on and be the best student you can be. And don’t forget about the extra curriculars. Good luck :3
Not everyone take Calculus III in high school. Some applicants to top 50 schools didn’t take AP calculus. So it won’t exclude you and won’t hurt as much as a C in an easier class.
To me it says you overreached a bit…Multivariable calc is usually a College Sophomore level class. You took it as a junior/senior and had some trouble. Well no wonder.
