So, I took AP US History online this year.... And procrastinated like heck, especially during fourth quarter.

I basically have a D for the quarter, C for the year. Will that kill my admissions chances? Every other grade I have had is an A...

Looking specifically at USC.

Thanks!

All A’s and one C is what, a 3.9 something? You’re fine.

4.0, actually. I’m not really worried about my GPA, just… how much do colleges consider the transcripts? Like, what would they think when they see a ‘D’ for the quarter? That sort of screwed.

Plus, I was aiming for the Trustee scholarship.

The only individual quarters they will see are the first one or two of senior year. They won’t see the D, but they will see the C.

Also I don’t understand how you can get a C and still have a 4.0, unless it’s weighted or on a 4.33 scale.

Thank you.

Weighted on a 5.0 scale. I had other AP classes that balanced it out…

What schools are you considering? I think you have pushed down your chances at the most selective ones, considerably. But if your SAT scores and gpa are still way up there, other then at the very top schools where they look for reason to eliminate kids, you are probably fine.

I’m looking mostly at USC.

Thank you!

I was panic-attacking, stupidly. My own fault, could have done it. Owell.

You’re fine. Stop stressing. One bad grade isn’t going to kill your chances. I got accepted at USC and got a Dean’s Scholarship with 2 C’s. (Calc BC and Physics C.)
