So I've just gotten all of my admissions letters however I've already made a change in my senior schedule.
I had to drop a hard AP class because my health started to ail and it made an impact in my studies and I felt like I couldn't put in the work I knew I was capable of doing into the class (I wasn't failing, but I wasn't happy with my grade). So, I withdrew (leaving a W on my transcript) and now I'm taking the advanced course at an accredited institution off campus because I still really like the subject and I want to still study it while I'm getting treatment for my health problem.
It's my only W, do you think this'll impact my admission to various schools?
I'm not talking Ivies here just several other less prestigious universities.

You really should have informed the schools of this before you dropped the class. Go through your guidance counselor and talk to all the colleges you have been admitted to and let them know what you did and why you did it. Find out if it impacts any of their admissions decisions before you make a college decision in case any school do rescind.

Odds are, one class will not make a difference, especially if you just switched. There’s like 6 weeks left, it’s not going to make an impact. Talk with your GC, of course, but they’ll probably say it’s not a big deal.

I agree with both posters. Let your GC know but it probably won’t make a difference.

Thanks guys! I did and he said it was totally fine, I’m still in :]
