Will a course I took in high school affect me?

I want to transfer schools after I have enough units, and I am also changing my major to computer engineering from nursing. This summer, I am planning on taking Calculus and Chemistry at a local community college. As I was searching up classes on the community colleges website I remembered that I had taken a Spanish course here during my sophomore year of high school. I got a C and was then able to skip Spanish 1 and 2 in high school the next year. I looked at my unofficial transcript and that C I received is still there. If I take courses here during the summer and then transfer them over, will that "C" from the Spanish course I took transfer over as well? When I applied to the school, I had stated that I took a course at a community college, but the portal said the grade from the course was not needed. Even though I never stated the grade, they pretty much already knew it because it was on my high school transcript since it took the place on Spanish 1 and 2. I don't want my GPA to be negatively affected by this and hurt my chances of transferring.

When you have a transcript sent, it will include all classes/grades that you took. Whether or not the grade will be counted in your gpa since you took the class in HS will depend on the college you’re applying to. Hopefully they won’t count it, but it wouldn’t hurt to call/email and make sure they see when you took the class.
