I have studied in a university in China for a year 2005-2006. Then I droped from it to stay home for another year to learn english by myself while waiting for the processing of immigrating to the United States. In 2007, I move to the orange county as an immigrant and attend a community college to study for two years and plan transfer to UCLA. Now my gpa is 3.89. I am worried that if they ask me for the transcript from the university in China where I did badly in grade. They will probably mix the grades with my current one though I have already started over again, so what should I do? Thank you.

No!! That makes for an amazing personal statement!
That’s so ironic I did the complete opposite!I took off here and went to Taiwan to learn chinese haha

except I didn’t stay there (i SO wish I could have!!)

But yeah you have to show them all undergraduate work you’ve done so far, and they’ll combine both gpas. If you did badly in China, at least you have an (amazing) 3.89 here so it probably won’t be so bad.

That also depends on which major you want to transfer into also! some are impacted and some are much easier to trasnfer into.

and your grades before were THEN ur cc grades are NOW…im sure they will take that into consideration if you write it into ur personal statement and talk bout how good u are doing now

You don’t need to worry about that, noodles.
