Will a good Math II score compensate for an unsatisfying math score?

I am a senior looking to apply to schools like Duke, Georgetown, JHU, and UPenn (these are technically my reaches, but I’m confident I can get into at least one) for premed. I took the SAT earlier this year and received a 730 math, 780 English. Today I retook the SAT and feel I did extremely well on the English section and improved my essay substantially (yay).

I was sure I could do better on math. However, I accidentally skipped 5 grid-in questions (ugh) so the chances of my math score improving is essentially zero. Both of my fee waivers are now used and I don’t have lots of money. I think I will take the Math II and Bio subject tests though. Will doing well on the Math II subject test compensate for my math score? Or should I maybe take the SAT again too? Thanks in advance.

I have heard that some schools will look at the Math II to “compensate” for a low SAT 1 score, but with a 730 I don’t think you need it unless you’re going for Caltech.
