Will a good SAT score save my chances?

After Junior year I should have an overall weighted gpa of roughly 3.6 to 3.65. I know this is way below the average for VT GE, but will a good SAT score save me/at least give me a shot?

My sat scores (only taken once so far, without studying): 800 math, 590 CR, 550 Writing; 1940 total (Hoping I can increase both CR and English by 50 points)

Will my perfect math score, paired with slightly better CR and Writing scores give me a fighting chance at getting into GE at Virginia Tech? If not, what do you think my chances are of getting into University studies?

Getting into engineering is usually a dog fight, i know alot of qualified people who didn’t get in. I think your GPA may be a little low, but definelty on point for US. Your SAT score is really good but if u feel like you can make it better than do it again. You should be able to get into VT.
