Will a hard copy of the course catalog be sent?

I have heard in years past, a course catalog was sent to students, but is everything done on-line this year?

Do incoming freshmen have to send in a preliminary schedule at some point this summer?

My answers are: I hope so and yes. I’ve heard contradictory things about the course catalog. I think an admissions officer posted on the facebook group that we would get a hard copy of the course catalog. But I have heard people say the opposite.

And on this website: [Information for New Students](Undergraduate Orientation I Brown University)
It says that by Aug. 6 you have to send in a course preference form.

We (Meiklejohns/student advisors) were told by Advising that new students would not receive a hard copy, only the online version. However, there are a number of hard copies available on campus for reference. Sorry!

Man, did they change it? I got one last year. The online one isn’t too bad, though.

Weird, I have one for this year I got in my mailbox. I really hope they don’t cut us off next year, because I use mine a ton. It’s extremely marked up, and I can’t really do that right with an online catalog. Plus a hardcopy makes browsing for random, fun courses easier.

I think current students will still be receiving hardcopies in their campus mailboxes. Perhaps they wanted to save on postage to the freshmen?

Exactly. Current students get them in their mailboxes, but they’re not going to mail them out to incoming freshmen.
