Will a low GPA demolish my chances for a good school?

So... I will most likely end with an 89 UW by the end of junior year after taking mostly APs and a few honors for most of my high school career. There has been a steady upward trend, and my school is very competitive. Will my GPA ruin my chances of getting into any of my choices such as Stern? Will it make me get autorejected from any top tier schools such as the ivies? Also, will a high SAT score and good ECs make up for my crappy GPA?

You won’t get into Ivies with those grades unless you are ranked #1 in your class, and even then all applicants are reaches. Most applicants to Ivies have great SATs and ECs. Unfortunately your grades make you stand out for the wrong reason in that pool.
