I am considering applying to the nutrition science major with a community emphasis. This major requires two quarters of calculus.

The calculus program at our school is terrible, and I withdrew my first semester. I have a couple options now:

-Try it again as a sophomore. Got a different teacher who is still bad but his tests aren't as unreasonable. You have to teach yourself, and I am worried that I won't have time since I'm taking ochem. I feel behind too, like I could use some precal.

-Take it as a junior at the college I am trying to transfer to with 1 quarter precal and 2 quarters calc.

So...second option sounds better but I don't want to burn my bridges with the W since it is for a prereq class. btw since nutrition science is in the school of ag at davis, I'm pretty sure calc isn't a requirement to even get in as a transfer.

Anyone got any input on this?
