Will a W rescind my admission?

Hi, I hope someone can help me.
I have recently withdrew from a class and received a W. I got acceptance from UCLA and I am so worried that they might rescind my admission.
I already reported the grade to UCLA and I'm waiting for thier decision.
The class is neither pre-req nor IGETC. Do you think they would rescind my admission? Have you ever seen someone who was in the same situation as me get rescinded ? Any reply will help me. I couldn't get enough sleep the past few days...

My stats: 3.64 GPA/ Poli Sci major/ No TAP

as long as you tell them about it.. hell no.. Don't try to hide it though.. They're gonna gethca... They're gonna GETCHA!

If it's not a pre-req or igetc, I can't see why they would care. Do you still have enough units without it?

it's about that whole integrity/honesty thing, especially when they tell you to TELL THEM about ANY changes in schedule. so email them.

They're not going to rescind it unless it's a pre-req, for IGETC or if it just puts you over 60 units.

You could be in trouble if you don't tell them about it.

I'm not so sure because I know someone that is in the same situation and the Berkeley rep told her not to worry about it. I would tell them just to be safe though.

yeah but she at least talked to someone. i would email, even if it's not a pre-req or IGETC related. it's in the contracts.

"I already reported the grade to UCLA and I'm waiting for thier decision."

It looks like he already told UCLA he got the W. Why is everybody assuming he didn't?

i had a similar situation with Ucla, and the woman on the phone was very nice and said that even though i was dropping a pre-req, as long as i was still over 60 units, i should be fine. She was more concerned that i was going to be under 60 units than she was about my pre-req.

Good luck!

can't somebody see this? lol

^didn't you see my post? lol

yep
i copied that quote from ur post kk

To the op: I really doubt it! I hope you feel better because it's just so unlikely unless you're under your units without that class.

im in the same situation and getting worried too...i just dropped literature class which I was only taking for berkeley but i already have one year of english writing completed...and since its not a GE nor major related class I thought i could drop it and i added this class way after ucla's application update deadline so I was assuming they wouldnt see this class in my application..but the moment i login to explain it was right there listed in the spring 08 semester! im mechanical engineering major with 3.80 bty..does anyone think it will affect my admission?
